Aisha Hinds is an American actor best known for playing roles in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has demonstrated her acting versatility by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. In 2005, she received attention in the first place for her portrayal of Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 Her first recognition came from her performance in the biographical 2005 film All the Way. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was also highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Recently Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by mid-2019.
